Native American Food Fest

The annual Traditional Native American Food Festival is held each harvest
season at the Santa Fe Indian Hospital in New Mexico. The festivals are
focused on learning to return to traditional and healthy Native American
food. Last year corn was celebrated; at this year's festival, Sept. 26, the
focus was on squash.

The story of how the Harvest Festival came to be held at the Santa Fe

Teaching art in a way that is exciting and exercises young minds is how
Allan Jim, of the Navajo Nation, and Dean of Fine Arts at Grey Hills
Academy High School in Tuba City, Arizona, teaches his students.

Last year at the Arizona Arts Educators Association Conference in Tempe,
Allan Jim was given the honor of being High School Division Art Teacher of
