Miss Indian World Pageant
The Gathering of Nations Pow Wow brought together around 3,000 dancers and
forty eight drum groups from all over North America.
The arena at the University of New Mexico was filled with drums, singers
and beautifully dressed dancers as the capacity crowd looked on in
pleasure. The festivities began on Friday, April 28th and ended Saturday
night, (Sunday morning actually) at around 3 am.
Saturday night brought the much anticipated announcement of Miss Indian
